Ingredients

  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/3 c. shortening
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 6 c. flour

Directions

    Scald milk, sugar, salt and shortening mixture.

    Allow to cool until lukewarm.

    In separate bowl mix yeast with about 1 teaspoon of sugar and 1/4 cup warm water; let dissolve.

    Pour yeast mixture into lukewarm milk.

    Add 1 cup water and eggs; beat well, then add flour while mixing.

    Pour mixture in a greased bowl and cover with damp cloth.

    Let stand in refrigerator overnight or until you are ready to cook.

    Roll out and cut biscuit size.

    Let rise until double in size.

    Bake at 350° until brown.
