- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 stick oleo
- 1 stick oleo
- 2 tsp. salt
- 5 c. flour
- 1 egg
- 3/4 c. sugar
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water plus 1/2 teaspoon sugar.

2Set aside and beat 1 egg slightly.

3Add 3/4 cup sugar, oleo and salt. Add boiling water.

4Let cool to lukewarm.

5Add yeast and about 5 cups flour.

6Let stand 30 minutes at room temperature.

7Cover and put in refrigerator overnight or for a few hours.

8Melt 1 stick oleo in pan.

9Roll out dough about the thickness of biscuits. With biscuit cutter, cut out and dip in melted oleo.

10Give a twist with a pull or stretch.

11Let rise in pan about 2 hours at room temperature.

12Bake at 375° until done.
