- 1 cake yeast
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 c. lukewarm water
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 7 c. sifted flour
- 3 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Crumble yeast; add sugar, salt and water.

2Beat in egg.

3Add 1/2 of the flour and beat.

4Add 1/2 of the butter and the other 1/2 flour.

5Let rise to double original size.

6Punch down, cover and place in refrigerator.

7Dough may be used as needed for rolls. Keeps about a week.
