Ingredients
- 1 c. hot water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 6 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 3 1/3 to 4 c. flour
- 1 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 2 tsp. lukewarm water
- 1 egg, well beaten
Directions

1Combine water, salt, shortening and sugar in bowl.

2Cool to lukewarm.

3Add softened yeast.

4Add egg and half of flour.

5Beat well.
-
6Stir in more flour to handle easily.

7Grease top of dough. Cover and put in refrigerator.

8Will keep 3 days or immediately shape into rolls after mixing.

9Cover with a towel and let rise about 1 1/2 hours.

10Bake at 425° for 12 to 15 minutes on greased pan.

11Brush with butter after baking.
