Ingredients

  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 2 pkg. dry yeast
  • 4 1/2 c. unsifted plain flour

Directions

    Put salt, shortening and sugar in large bowl.

    Pour in boiling water; blend and allow to cool.

    Stir in beaten eggs.

    Dissolve yeast in warm water.

    Add to egg mixture.

    Stir in flour and mix well.

    Cover and place in refrigerator for at least 4 hours.

    Shape dough into rolls using very little flour on hands.

    Place rolls on greased baking sheet and let rise until doubled in 1 to 2 hours. Bake at 425° until lightly browned.
