- 1/2 c Crisco
- 1/2 c milk
- 1/4 c sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cake yeast
- 1/2 c water
- 1 egg
- 3 3/4 c sifted flour
Directions

1Heat Crisco and milk; pour over sugar and salt and stir well. Dissolve yeast in water.

2Beat egg slightly and add to Crisco-milk mixture.

3Combine the two mixtures and stir in flour. With lightly greased hands, mold dough into a ball.

4Place in bowl rubbed with Crisco and store in refrigerator.

5About 3 1/2 hours before baking, knead and make into rolls.

6Let rise until double in bulk (about 1 hours).

7Bake in a moderate oven (375°) 12 to 15 minutes.
