- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 c. potatoes (2 medium)
- 1 c. potato water
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. melted shortening
- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 9 c. flour
Directions

1Have potatoes creamed.

2Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.

3Put 5 cups flour into large mixing bowl.

4Add sugar, salt, potatoes, potato water and melted shortening; stir well.

5Add eggs, then yeast and water.

6Add the remaining flour.

7Let stand at room temperature for 2 hours, or until double in bulk.

8Bake at 450° for 10 to 12 minutes, or until done.
