- 2 c. warm water
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/3 c. melted shortening
- 6 c. self-rising flour
Directions

1Sprinkle yeast over warm water.

2Add sugar; stir.

3Add half of flour and blend well.

4Add egg, shortening and rest of the flour. Mix well.

5Cover with damp towel and let rise in refrigerator at least 2 hours or overnight.

6Take out as needed.

7Roll out and let rise at room temperature.

8Bake at 350° until brown.
