Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/2 c. warm water
  • 1 c. hot water
  • 1/2 c. butter Crisco
  • 2 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 c. cold water
  • 7 to 8 c. flour

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in warm water, let stand.

    Stir together hot water, Crisco, salt, sugar and eggs.

    Add cold water.

    Add yeast dissolved in water.

    Add flour, mix well.

    Place on floured board and knead.

    Put in greased bowl and set in refrigerator for several hours or overnight.

    Break off and make biscuits.

    Place in greased pans.

    Makes about 4 dozen.

    Let rise about 2 hours. Bake for 25 minutes at 350°.
