- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 c. sweet milk
- 3 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 tsp. salt
- flour (all-purpose)
Directions

1First, scald milk and dissolve yeast in 1/3 cup warm water. Let milk cool to lukewarm, then add sugar, yeast and enough flour to make a thick batter.

2Let rise to double in bulk.

3Then add salt, shortening and enough flour to make a dough that can be handled easily.

4Put in greased bowl and let rise (double), then make into rolls.

5Let rise again and bake at medium 350° until brown.

6These will keep in refrigerator for several days or can be frozen to be baked when needed (must make into rolls before freezing).
