- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 1/2 c. milk, scalded
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 6 c. sifted flour (may need only 5 1/2 c.)
- 2 eggs
Directions

1Soften yeast in warm water.

2Heat milk.

3Add shortening, sugar and salt; cool to lukewarm.

4Add 2 cups flour; beat well (2 to 3 minutes on medium speed).

5Beat in yeast mixture and eggs.

6Add remaining flour with wooden spoon; mix well.

7Place in greased bowl; grease surface of dough.

8Cover; store in refrigerator. Remove dough from refrigerator.

9Roll out; cut with round cookie cutter or shape to your desire.
