  • 5 c. ground onions
  • 5 c. ground bell pepper (red and green)
  • 1/2 c. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. celery seed
  • 1 1/4 tsp. turmeric
  • 4 c. vinegar
  • 6 c. ground cabbage
  • 5 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. mustard seed

    Grind vegetables using coarse food chopper blade.

    Sprinkle with salt; let stand overnight.

    Rinse and drain.

    Combine remaining ingredients.
