  • 1 (1 lb.) can cut green beans
  • 1 (3 1/2 oz.) can French fried onions
  • 1 can condensed cream of celery soup
  • 2 Tbsp. toasted almonds or water chestnuts, sliced
  • 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese

Directions

    Put alternate layers of drained beans and onions in a casserole.

    Mix soup with the bean liquid and almonds (or water chestnuts); pour over beans and onions.

    Sprinkle cheese over top. Bake in a moderate oven (375°) for about 30 minutes.
