- 1 c. sifted flour
- 3/4 c. oatmeal
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. melted shortening
- 4 c. diced rhubarb
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Mix flour, oatmeal, brown sugar, shortening and cinnamon until crumbly.

2Press half in the bottom of a 9-inch square pan.

3Pour in rhubarb.

4Combine white sugar, water, vanilla and cornstarch and cook until clear and thick.

5Pour over rhubarb and top with remaining crumbs.

6Bake 1 hour at 350°.

7Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
