- 1 1/2 c. chopped rhubarb
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. milk
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/4 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Cover rhubarb with boiling water and let stand 5 minutes; drain.

2Cream sugar and shortening, add egg and beat well.

3Fold in dry ingredients alternately with milk.

4Fold in rhubarb and nuts.

5Pour in greased pan and bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
