- 1 1/2 c. uncooked rice
- 1/3 c. chopped onion
- 1/3 c. chopped green pepper
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. cumin
- 1 tsp. Knorr de salsa
- 1 tsp. ground black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/2 c. chicken broth
- cooked peas (optional)
- 2 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Fry rice in cooking oil until brown. Add chopped onion and green pepper. Fry about 1 minute.

2Grind cumin and garlic in a spice grinder. Add ground spices, tomato sauce and chicken broth along with 2 1/2 cups boiling water. When all is boiling, cover and lower heat to simmer. Do not stir after this point. Cook until tender. Add peas for color.
