Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 1/4 c. chicken broth
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp. toasted almonds
  • 1 c. frozen cut green beans, thawed
  • 2 tsp. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 c. instant brown rice
  • 1/2 tsp. dill weed

Directions

    Cook and stir onion in hot butter until tender. Add broth, lemon juice and garlic powder.

    Bring to a boil. Stir in rice. Bring to a heavy boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.

    Remove from heat.

    Stir in green

    beans, almonds and dill.

    Cover. Let stand for about 5 minutes, then serve.
