  • 11/16 cup almonds sweet
  • 4 almonds bitter
  • 2 tablespoons fruits candied citrus, diced
  • 4 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 1/16 cups rice
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 lemon
  • salt
  • breadcrumbs
  • powdered sugar

Directions

    Preheat the oven to 95 degrees Celsius.

    Peel and blanch the almonds and crush in a mortar with 2 tablespoons of sugar.

    Cook the rice in the milk about 20 minutes.

    Add the almonds, sugar and candied fruit.

    When the mixture is cold, add the eggs and apinch of salt.

    Place in a greased baking pan and sprinkled with breadcrumbs.

    Bake for about 10 minutes or until just set. Allow to cool.

    Cut into almond shapes, and when ready to serve, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
