Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped fine
  • 1/4 stick butter or margarine
  • 1 can chicken broth
  • 1/2 can water
  • 8 oz. can mushroom stems and pieces
  • 1 3/4 c. white rice
  • parsley flakes, salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Saute onion in butter.

    Add broth and water.

    Simmer for about 5 minutes.

    Add mushrooms with juice included.

    Mix uncooked rice, parsley flakes, salt and pepper in casserole dish.

    Pour liquid ingredients into casserole and stir.

    Cover and bake in 350° oven for one hour.
