Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 c. raw rice
  • 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed beef bouillon
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 (2 oz.) jar pimentos, drained and chopped
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts, drained

Directions

    In a Dutch oven, saute onion and green pepper in butter until soft.

    Stir in all remaining ingredients.

    Cover tightly and bake in a preheated 350° oven for 45 to 60 minutes or until rice has absorbed all liquid.
