  • 1 lb. pork sausage, browned and drained
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 pkg. chicken soup (dry)
  • 1 c. Minute rice
  • 3 c. water
  • 1 c. almond slivers
  • paprika and black pepper

Directions

    In deep skillet brown and drain sausage.

    Add pepper, onion, soup mix, water and rice.

    Simmer for about 5 minutes.

    Pour into 2-quart casserole bowl.

    Top with almonds.

    Sprinkle with paprika and black pepper.

    Bake in oven at 325° for 25 to 30 minutes. Almonds will be toasted.
