- 1/2 c. slivered almonds
- 1 c. rice (brown or white)
- 2 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
- 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms or small can sliced mushrooms
- 4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 can chicken broth
Directions

1Cook together almonds, rice, pepper, mushrooms, onions and margarine until rice turns yellow, stirring often.

2Pour into greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.

3Add chicken broth.

4Cover and bake at 325° for 1 hour.

5DO NOT USE QUICK COOKING RICE.
