- 6 strips bacon, cut up
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 c. white rice
- 1 (8 oz.) can mushrooms (undrained)
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can beef broth
- 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Fry bacon in large skillet.

2When bacon is half done, add onion, pepper and garlic; brown together.

3Add rice, mushrooms, broth and water.

4Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally.

5Add more water if needed.

6Cook 20 to 30 minutes, until rice is done.
