- 1 c. uncooked regular or processed rice
- 1 medium onion, minced
- 2/3 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 can condensed consomme
Directions

1Saute onion in margarine until golden.

2Dilute consomme with water, bring to a boil.

3Combine all ingredients in 1 1/2-quart casserole (greased).

4Bake covered 30 minutes or until rice feels tender and all the liquid is absorbed in a moderate oven.

5Uncover at once.

6Sprinkle with toasted slivered almonds.
