- 2/3 c. uncooked enriched long grain white rice (not instant or converted)
- 3 c. boiling water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 14 oz. can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
Directions

1In top of double boiler, combine rice, boiling water and salt. Cook, covered, over medium heat, about 40 minutes or until rice is tender.

2Water in bottom of double boiler should be boiling. More boiling water may have to be added.

3Do not drain.

4Stir in condensed milk and butter.

5Cook, uncovered, stirring frequently, until slightly thickened, about 20 minutes.

6Remove from heat; add raisins and vanilla.

7Serve warm or cold.

8Serves 6 to 8.
