- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Barely cover rice with cold water and simmer very slowly until rice absorbs all the water; the rice should only be partially cooked.

2Bring the quart of milk to a scald and blend partially cooked rice and milk together.

3Continue cooking very slowly until rice is thoroughly cooked.
