- 1/2 c. long grain rice
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 qt. whole milk
- 1/2 stick butter or margarine
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. raisins
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Add rice to salt in boiling water.

2Cover and cook for 7 to 10 minutes, until water is absorbed.

3Add milk and margarine.

4Stir and bring to a boil.

5Turn heat to very low when milk has ceased boiling; cook until milk is almost absorbed.

6(Add sugar, raisins, vanilla and eggs together.)

7Pour into rice; stir slowly until rice begins to thicken.

8May serve hot, warm or cold.
