Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. gelatin
  • 2 1/4 c. milk, scalded
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. cream, whipped
  • 1/4 c. cold water
  • 1 c. rice
  • 1/2 c. cooked rice
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 pkg. cut marshmallows
  • cherries

Directions

    Combine gelatin and water and let gelatin soften.

    Add sugar to scalded milk; add rice and then add egg and cook until egg is cooked.

    Add all of this to softened gelatin with salt and vanilla.

    Remove from heat and add marshmallows, stirring until dissolved.

    Chill in refrigerator and add whipped cream.

    Chill until ready to serve.

    Serve with whipped cream and cherry on top.
