- 1 c. raw rice
- 1 c. coconut milk
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 c. water or more
- pinch of salt
- 1/4 c. granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/3 c. chopped almonds
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- raisins (optional)
Directions

1Bring water, salt and coconut milk to the boil.

2Add rice and continue to cook on medium heat until rice is almost soft; stir occasionally.

3Add milk, sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, almonds and vanilla and continue to cook on medium heat.

4Stir often until liquid is absorbed and rice is cooked and soft.

5Serve hot or cold in individual dishes with a teaspoon of jam or jelly on top.
