- 16 oz. milk
- 1/4 c. raw rice
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. raisins, soaked in water (optional)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Preheat oven to 300°.

2Mix milk, rice, sugar and salt and put in a 6-cup buttered casserole.

3Bake, uncovered, 2 hours.

4Stir every 30 minutes.

5At end, add raisins (soaked in water and drained).

6Add vanilla.

7Mix and bake 30 minutes more.
