  • 3/4 cup rice
  • milk 8 dl.
  • 5 5/8 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 1/8 tablespoons butter
  • 4 1/8 tablespoons candied fruits chopped into small pieces
  • 3 eggs separated
  • 2 tablespoons rum
  • salt

Directions

    Preheat the oven to 180C.

    Cook the rice in the milk in a medium saucepan, stirring it often so it does not stick.

    When the rice is 2/3 done, add the sugar, butter, a pinch of salt, and the candied fruits.

    Beat the egg whites to stiff peaks in a bowl.

    Once the rice has cooked and cooled, add the rum and the egg yolks, and then add the egg whites.

    Fill the muffin liners with the mixture and bake.

    Remove the rice treats from the oven and serve warm.
