  • 1/2 cake yeast
  • 1 1/2 lb. rice
  • 2 oz. crushed ginger
  • 1/4 lb. raisins
  • 4 lb. brown sugar
  • 1/4 pt. rum
  • juice of 2 lemons
  • 1 gal. water

Directions

    Place all ingredients in a large jar.

    Leave for 14 days. Strain and bottle.

    Cover tightly and store in a cool, dark place.
