Rich Caramel Cake

  • 1 14 oz pkg caramels
  • 1/2 c margarine
  • 1 14 oz Eagle Brand milk
  • 1 Box 18 1/4 or 18 1/2 oz pkg german chocolate cake mix
  • 1 c coarsely chopped pecans

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    In heavy saucepan, over low heat, melt caramels and margarine.

    Remove from heat, add milk, Mix well. Follow package directions for cake mix; pour 2 cups batter into a 9 x 13 inch pan that has been sprayed with Pam. Bake 15 minutes. Spread caramel mixture over cake; spread remaining batter over mixture. Top with pecans.

    Return to oven and bake 30 to 35 minutes.
