  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. soft shortening
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 c. lukewarm milk
  • 2 cakes yeast
  • 4 c. sifted flour

Directions

    Mix sugar, shortening, salt and eggs with rotary beater until smooth.

    Stir in milk.

    Crumble in yeast cakes and stir until dissolved.

    Beat in with spoon 4 cups of flour.

    Scrape dough from sides of bowl, cover with damp cloth and let rise until double. Shape into rolls, let double and bake at 425° for 15 minutes.
