  • 1/2-inch whole round steak (1 1/4 lb.)
  • 1 head green small cabbage
  • 2 large new red or white potatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 cans (2 lb.) whole tomatoes
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 6 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 c. broth
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 c. margarine or butter
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley

    Cut round steak into 2 x 3-inch pieces; set aside.

    Shred cabbage after washing, set aside.

    Peel and cut thin slices of potatoes and set aside.

    Slice onion thin and set aside.

    Drain tomatoes in a stainer over a bowl.

    Without mashing the tomatoes, squeeze out the seeds over the strainer.
