- beef roast
- 1 pkg. dry onion soup
- salt and pepper
- flour
Directions

1Salt, pepper and flour all sides of roast.

2On top of stove, brown roast on all sides in about 2 tablespoons of oil in heavy pot.

3(I use Club Aluminum roaster.)

4Sprinkle dry onion soup mix on top of meat.

5Add 1 1/2 to 2 cups water.

6Cover.
-
7It will steam and moisten soup mix.

8Bake, covered, at 425° for about an hour. Uncover and let all the water bake out until bottom of pot is brown (almost burned).

9Add water and continue baking until roast is done.

10Remove from pot and slice. Replace slices in pot.

11Add water to have juice for meat to absorb.

12Bake, covered, for 15 to 20 minutes more.
