Roast Fresh Ham

  • 1 whole leg fresh ham
  • 1 c. light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • flour
  • cold water

Directions

    Score the top of the ham and season with salt and pepper.

    Put on a rack in a shallow roasting pan.

    Roast in a 325° oven for 40 to 45 minutes per pound or until the meat reaches 185° on the meat thermometer.

    About 1 1/4 hours before the meat is done, spread with a mix of 1 cup light brown sugar, 1 teaspoon dry mustard and 2 tablespoons vinegar.
