  • 3 lb. chuck roast
  • flour
  • salt
  • 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
  • 1 can mushroom soup

Directions

    Flour and brown meat in small amount of cooking oil.

    Salt a little.

    Mix onion soup mix with mushroom soup and 2 cans of water.

    Cook, covered, 3 to 4 hours (may be 5 if you want it real tender) at 325°.

    Check water level after 3 hours.

    Add more, if needed.
