  • 2 c. pecan halves
  • 3 Tbsp. melted butter
  • coarse salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Directions

    Spread pecan halves in a baking pan.

    Pour melted butter over the nuts and toss well.

    Roast nuts in a moderately slow oven at 325° for about 25 minutes or until they are lightly colored and sizzling.

    During roasting, shake them several times.

    Sprinkle with salt and a few grinds of pepper.

    Shake the pan to distribute seasonings.

    Cool nuts and transfer to airtight jar and store in refrigerator.
