Ingredients
- 1/2 peck ripe tomatoes
- 12 sweet peppers (1/2 green and 1/2 red)
- 6 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. mustard powder
- 1 Tbsp. broken stick cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp. allspice
- 1/2 peck green tomatoes
- 12 small onions
- 2 or 3 stalks celery
- 2 qt. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. cloves
- 1/4 tsp. mace
- 1 c. salt
Directions

1Chop tomatoes, onions and celery coarsely; add salt and allow to stand overnight.

2Drain.

3Heat vinegar to boiling.

4Add sugar, mustard and spices (do not put spices in bag).

5Add chopped vegetables to boiling vinegar.

6Stir until well blended.

7Simmer briskly for 1/2 hour.

8Pour into quarts or pints and seal.
