Ingredients
- 1 large head cabbage
- 1 large onion
- 1 green pepper (optional)
- 2 c. plus 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 c. vinegar
- 3/4 c. salad oil
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
Directions

1Shred cabbage finely.

2Slice onion thin.

3Put layer of cabbage in large bowl (I use Tupperware for this).

4Then layer of onion, etc., until bowl is filled.

5Pour 2 cups of sugar over this.

6Mix together the other ingredients with 2 teaspoons sugar.

7Bring to a boil.
-
8Pour over cabbage mixture; mix well.

9Place in container with tight lid; cover.
-
10Store in refrigerator.

11Let stand 4 hours. Stir well and serve.

12Keeps as long as it lasts.
