- 1 c. butter or oleo, softened
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 3 c. flour
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°.

2In large bowl, cream butter or oleo and sugar with electric mixer.

3Beat in egg and vanilla.

4Add baking powder and flour (one cup at a time).

5Mix after each addition. The dough will be very stiff.

6Blend last flour by hand.

7Do not chill.

8Divide into 2 balls.
-
9On floured surface, roll each ball in circle approximately 12 inches in diameter and 1/8-inch thick. Use cutters as a guide.

10Dough should only be slightly thinner than cutter.

11Dip cutters in flour before each use.

12Bake on ungreased cookie sheet on middle rack of oven for 6 to 10 minutes or slightly browned.
