- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 c. shortening
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. boiling water
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1 c. warm water
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 6 c. flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in 1 cup of warm water.

2In a large bowl, cream together shortening and sugar.

3Add salt and blend well.

4Add egg, mixing well.

5Add remaining water and stir well.

6Stir in yeast mixture.

7Add enough flour to make a stiff dough.

8Place in greased bowl and set aside until doubled in bulk.

9Dough may be punched down several times.

10Roll out on floured surface and form into rolls.

11Place rolls in buttered pans and butter tops.

12Let rise again.
-
13Bake at 425° until golden brown, about 15 minutes.
