  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 2 1/2 c. self-rising flour

Directions

    Let yeast dissolve in 1/4 cup warm water.

    Mix flour and liquid to form soft dough.

    Knead gently on floured board.

    Form dough in 12 small balls and place in muffin pan.

    Brush with oleo. Let double in size.

    Bake at 400° for 10 to 15 minutes.

    Makes 12 muffins.
