Ingredients

  • 1 c. lukewarm water
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. melted shortening

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in water and add sugar, salt and egg.

    Add mixture to 1 1/2 cups flour and add shortening.

    Add the remaining 1 1/2 cups flour and grease the top.

    Let rise to double in size and punch down to take out desired amount.

    Make into rolls and let rise.

    Bake at 400° until ready.

    Mixture can be put in refrigerator for up to 4 days.
