- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 c. warm water
- 3/4 c. Crisco (butter flavor)
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 4 c. plus self-rising flour
Directions

1Add dry yeast to warm water.

2Add sugar and egg to yeast and water; add Crisco and flour.

3Mix until smooth.

4Turn into large bowl.

5Cover tightly.

6Refrigerate 12 hours.

7Take out and knead lightly.

8Pat out 1-inch thick and cut out.

9Place on buttered pan and butter top.

10Let rise at room temperature about 1 hour.

11Bake at 500° for 12 to 15 minutes until brown.
