- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 c. scalded milk
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Combine yeast and egg; set aside.

2Combine the last 4 ingredients in a bowl and stir until blended.

3Cool until lukewarm, then add enough flour, about 1 1/2 cups, and beat until smooth.

4Add enough flour and knead on floured bread board until not sticky.

5Place in greased bowl in warm place until dough rises to double.

6Shape in rolls as desired and bake in 400° oven until when touched with finger, the rolls spring back into shape.

7Makes a dozen cloverleaf rolls.
