- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 c. milk, scalded
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3-1/2 c. flour
Directions

1Combine milk, shortening, sugar and salt.

2Cool to lukewarm. Add 1-1/2 cups flour and beat well.

3Beat in egg and yeast.

4Add remaining flour and beat well.

5Put in greased bowl and let rise 1-1/2 to 2 hours.

6Turn on floured board.

7Shape rolls and let rise until double in size.

8Bake at 400° for 12-15 minutes.

9Makes 2 dozen rolls.
