Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. milk, warmed
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. shortening, melted
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pkg. yeast in 1/4 cup warm water with a little sugar
  • 3 to 3 1/4 c. flour

Directions

    Mix all ingredients.

    Let set about 20 minutes.

    Knead slightly and return to greased bowl to rise.

    Place on floured board.

    Knead lightly and divide into 2 parts.

    Stretch section about 12 inches.

    Cut strip into 10 pieces and mold into balls. Place on greased sheet and let rise one hour.

    Bake 15 minutes at 375°

    or until browned.

    Makes 20 rolls.
