- 1 (28 ounce) cancrushed Italian tomatoes
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- olive oil
- 4 links Italian sausage
- 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons oregano
- 1 tablespoon salt
- fresh ground pepper
Directions

1Set stove to meduim high heat.

2Coat bottom of pan with olive oil.

3Saute onions until translucent while browning sausage lightly.

4Add garlic, then the rest of the ingredients.

5Turn stove down to low and simmer uncovered until ragu is reduced by 1/3 (about 2 1/2 to 3 hours) Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
